Stop “The Boyet Challenge”—GMA

“GMA Network aims to spread awareness and appreciation for mentally, physically, and differently-abled people through its Afternoon Prime series, My Special Tatay. From the start, the advocacy of the show is to help viewers understand better the plight of people with intellectual disabilities.

“As such, we are one with the Autism Society Philippines in calling on netizens to treat people with autism with dignity and respect. The viral videos that have been circulating on social media tagged as “The Boyet Challenge” was not initiated by the program and we join the ASP’s appeal to stop sharing and creating videos ridiculing people with autism.

“We are immensely grateful for the support the show has been receiving and we hope that it continues to inspire and impart valuable lessons to our Kapuso viewers.

LAUGHTER IS and always a part of Edu Manzano’s life.

But off-cam, his different personality is that of a serious  ‘katrabaho’ in a teleserye.

As Gian Magdangal shared with us at the presscon of his new musical with veterans and newbies at the NPAT (Newport Performing Arts Theater) at Resorts World Manila starting this March 1-April 6, 2019-“Ang Huling El Bimbo.”

“I portray the role of the Secretary of Tito Edu’s character Lucas in “Ang Probinsyano.” Masaya talaga sa set when he’s around sharing so many things about life and our work, as artists. He is throwing his hat in the political arena. And yes, I will support him sa gusto niya tahakin.

“Serious na nakakatawa siya, eh. Kaya never a dull moment on the set. Ang alam ko about him is that of being a hands-on Dad kahit malalaki na ang mga anak niya.

“The very reason why for some time, tiniis ko na mahiwalay sa anak ko (with Viva Hot Babe Sheree) when we accepted my stint in HongKong Disneyland. Hindi na ako nag-renew at mahaba-haba na rin naman ang naging stint ko para makaipon for my kid. Kaya thankful naman ako sa blessings na dumating when I came back. Mostly musical plays. And ito ngang serye. Am happy! Kaya work ang focused now.”

And singing and performing it is and will always be for Gian.
