Sen. JV Ejercito doesn’t mind surveys, relies on his achievements
Re-electionist Sen. JV Ejercito wants to rely more on his achievements from the moment he started serving in San Juan City as Mayor to becoming a Senator in 2013.
“I have always been proud of my achievements in serving the Filipino people,” he says.
His very recent achievement is the passing of Universal Health Care (UHC) Law. The law allows all Filipinos to have equal access to quality and affordable medical services and products, which was signed last Feb. 20, by President Rodrigo Duterte.
“The Universal Health Care Law will transform the health seeking behavior of Filipinos. UHC makes medical consultation and several basic laboratory tests affordable and accessible. This will allow the people to value their health more by regularly consulting with doctors,” the principal author shares.
UHC makes all Filipino citizens automatically enrolled in the National Health Insurance Program (NHIP).
All Filipinos can get the health care services benefits from PhilHealth without identification cards.
In the recent poll survey, the UHC principal author didn’t make it to Magic 12. He explains that people easily forget a certain candidate when he/she is not visible on television or tv ads. He admits he has “zero tv ad.”
Some of his notable legislation include the Anti-Agricultural Smuggling Law, Sangguniang Kabataan Reform Law, Balanced Housing Law, Creation of the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), Road Speed Limiter Law, Sugarcane Industry Development Law, and the Foreign Investment Liberalization Act.
He continues to push for the passage of the Freedom of Information Act, Train Protection Act, and the modernization of the Philippine National Railway, among others.
Number 26, Sen. JV is a reliable ally of the people in the Senate.
