Pancho Magno describes placenta: Lasang milk tea!

‘Yung placenta niya, andun lahat ng nutrients from the mom, sa katawan niya.

“So ang gagawin, ida-dry, pwedeng i-shake siya, puwedeng haluan ng peanut butter, strawberries, and milk tapos iinumin niya.”

Sinabi naman ni Max na, “I think half, I’ll do the placenta smoothie and then half yung encapsulated.”

“It gives back the nutrients sa mom kasi maraming nawawala, di ba, after giving birth. And that’s why they get postpartum depression.”

“Mini-mix naman nila with strawberries, berries. Lasang milk tea!”

“Nag-online class po ako for one month, on gentle birthing and home water birth.

“So since we kind of know how to go about it, what we need is a pool at home.

“Siyempre may iba pang kailangan, but other than that, we found a doula and a midwife na magfa-facilitate.

It would be the midwife, and yun lang so far.”

Ayon sa Wikipedia, ang doula ay:

“A doula (/ˈduːlə/) is a trained companion who is not a healthcare professional and who supports another individual (the doula’s client) through a significant health-related experience, such as childbirth, etc.”

Pagpapatuloy pa ni Max, “Sa online classes namin, when the doula would explain certain things na hindi ko nage-gets, nage-gets niya kasi nurse naman siya.

“We talk about like the cutting of the umbilical cord or the placenta, things like that, you know, things that I’m not really aware about, mas alam niya.

“And sa kanya naman, more of the medical perspective from a hospital, as opposed to holistic, which is what we’re doing now with home birth, it’s a holistic practice.

“Pero siya, he tells me the benefits of epidural, kung ano yung iba kong options sa hospital.”

Ayon sa Wikipedia, “An epidural is a procedure that injects a local anaesthetic in to the space around the spinal nerves in your lower back. This anaesthetic usually blocks the pain from labour contractions and during the birth very effectively. With an epidural you can usually move and can push your baby out when you need to.”

“Pinag-usapan namin, by end of this month, dapat kumpleto na.

“And the baby will be sleeping with us naman, sa kuwarto namin.”
