ON MONDAY (JANUARY 28 and Tuesday January 29) televiewers of “Magandang Buhay” hosted by Melai Cantiveros, Jolina Magdangal and Karla Estrada will bring us inside the home of “FPJs Ang Probinsyano”s Lucas Cabrera.

And Lucas’ character is portrayed by no less than an actor sought for his  remarkable performances whether as a bida or kontrabida-Edu Manzano.

If you see him on the streets of San Juan treating the senior citizens, playing basketball with the men of certain barangays, doing medical missions in every nook and cranny, Edu hasn’t stopped serving in his district.

In his office, there are papers he need to look into and sign. For business matters. Then he’s on the set with Cardo Dalisay (Coco Martin).

But at the end of the day, he goes home to his lovely dogs and a home filled with love with his grown-up kids Addie and Enzo. Kuya Luis has a life of him own now.

Edu is also missed doing hosting stints on TV which seems to be handled well already by his son Luis.

Last October 2018 news have it that he filed for another position to do as a public servant.

Though he has met with several challenges in life in the political ring, the actor, host, businessman and sportsman still believes that there is more room for him to become what he envisions for San Juan towards the goal his team one San Juan has.

It would be fun to watch Luis Cabrera unmasked on Monday and Tuesday. And get to know the real Eduardo or Edu.

It’s a date!

People want to know more about him. They are surprised with his high ratings now in the surveys!

ANOTHER man, also a product of showbiz and sports making the rounds in Makati is Monsour del Rosario.

He also wants to venture into another way of serving the people.

“After one year of being quiet about all the allegations thrown towards me, it’s about time that I speak my truth. It’s only now that I am talking about it because people in Makati, ‘yung mga nasa barangays are telling me na magsalita na ako. Kasi a lot of lies are being hurled at me. Nakakapundi na sa tenga na sabihan ka lagi na wala kang ginagawa all this time.

“Alam ng mga tao what I have done and been doing there. So, like what you saw, nandyan ang listahan ng mga ginawa at ginagawa ko pa compared sa kumukwestiyon sa akin na puro sports lang ang inaatupag ko. But that is another thing na hindi ko rin pwedeng talikuran lalo na kung nagbibigay ng malaking karangalan ‘yun sa ating bansa.

“The people of Makati believe in me more than them. Even the Binay family believes in me also. If they didn’t, why would they get me to run as the vice mayor of mayor Jun Binay for the May 13, 2019 elections? Go figure.”

Monsour has a very special participation in “Bato: The General Ronald dela Rosa Story.”

“I portray the role as Regional police director general Cornelius.”

THE certified action king up to this generation was asked to do a movie to portray the character of a controversial figure not just in his being a military man but as someone close to the President.

Robin Padilla is tackling the personality of General Ronald dela Rosa more popularly known as “Bato.”

“Hindi ko naman makokopya ang mismong itsura ni Gen. Bato kaya ‘yung mga galaw niya ang pinag-aralan ko. Gaya ng sabi ko, hindi ako impersonator but an actor kaya huwag nila hanapin ang kabuuan ng itsura niya sa akin.”

With the things Robin shared in the presscon of the movie to be shown on January 30, those who are fuming mad with him and the project continue to bash him and the movie. Telling the people to boycott it.

And another director (Carlitos Siguion Reyna after Lore Reyes’ rant) shared his piece to Robin:

“At huwag kang hihingi ng paggalang sa project mo, kung ikaw mismo ang nagmaliit sa kanya nang tawagin mo siyang “pelikula LANG ito.” Anuman ang pagtingin mo rito, maging uri ng sining (art), pampaaliw (entertainment), propesiyon (occupation), o anupaman, ito ay kagalanggalang na gawain na kina-kareer—kung tunay mo siyang commitment—at hindi karapatdapat ituring na pelikula (o trabaho) “lang.”

The filmmakers are the ones reacting violently to Robin and his movie. Everyone (including me) was told not to be neutral. Hello? We’re working!

Eh, bakit naman kaya? Making an issue. So, any suggestion of a movie he should make?
