MANILA, Philippines— The country’s top performers will be headlining the much-awaited opening of the 30th South East Asian (SEA) Games on November 30 at the Philippine Arena.
Extraordinary performers include Lani Misalucha, Christian Bautista, Aicelle Santos, Jed Madela, Elmo Magalona, KZ Tandingan, Iñigo Pascual, The TNT Boys, Ana Fegi, and Robert Seña, and international rap artist Apl d Ap.
Filipinos are now expecting extraordinary production numbers from the mentioned local artists. Lani is known for her powerful voice. KZ is set to bring the house down with her unique singing style.
In charge of the production are Palanca-award winning writer Floy Quintos, National Artist for Music and Ramon Magsaysay Awardee Maestro Ryan Cayabyab, US-based, Emmy-award winning live content creator FiveCurrents, and Filipino companies Video Sonic and Stage Craft International Inc.
Quintos said that the opening is a showcase of Pinoy culture and talent. “It’s like the Super Bowl Halftime Show. People will surely love it.”
Folk dance company The Ramon Obusan Folkloric Group will also be collaborating with students from different schools and colleges in Metro Manila. They will be dancing in costumes created by talented Filipino visual artists and designers.
