Pinoy iconic band Aegis to tell their success story through concert this September

They are considered as one of the most successful Pinoy rockets up to this time. When it comes to belting out love songs, theirs is the “hugot” that fives it all. The iconic OPM band known as the Aegis will take their fans on a rock journey down memory lane as they retrace their success story via “Aegis na Aegis: A Story of Us” at the Newport Performing Arts Theater (NPAT) in Resorts World Manila (RWM) on September 1, 2017.

Back from their successful US tour, Aegis sets their homecoming concert at the award-winning stage of the NPAT for one of the most significant performance in their stellar career since topping the charts in 1998.

What will they offer the audience in this comeback? When their songs are all set in stone, what more are they going to serve especially with the millenials?

Said Juliet, “Actually, kinakabahan pa rin kami. Wish namin mapuno ang 1,500 capacity para mas marami kaming mapasaya with our music. Lahat ng nakagisnan na nila with us, maririnig nila dahil ipapakita rin namin ang mga sarili naming hugot with our songs. Sa naging buhay namin. Sa naging lovelife namin. ‘Yung mga awit na naging kakambal nito. Para sa  bagong kabataan, magko-cover kami ng mga paborito nila. But, the Aegis way.”

“Halik,” “Basang Basa sa Ulan,” “Luha,” and “Sinta.” These pieces tose to fame and has redefined Filipino pop-rock with the gritty and powerful vocal harmonies from sisters Julie, Mercy and Ken Sunot. Theirs is the unique Pinoy sound completed by the catchy rhythms on the keyboards of Stella Pabico, the lead guitarist and back-up vocalist, Rey Abenoja, bass player Rowena Adriano and drummer Vilma Goloviogo.

The rest is history with multiple hits found in videoke song lists in every nook and cranny. Then came that crossover tribute in the stage musical “Rak of Aegis.” Ten Platinum and Gold albums.

With this upcoming concert, Aegis looks back at their flourishing career-2 decades to reckon with-to share to their fans the personal experiences to rock superstardom. The debut album. The rock anthems. And this surefire git concert.

Ultimate Shows, Inc. with direction, concept and script by Lambert de Jesus brings us down memory lane with the story of Aegis.
