IT’S BEEN QUITE A while that the Malou de Guzman is given an upbeat role on television.
Tonight, she will be pitting talents with an award-winning actress, Ana Capri in “MMK” ( Maalaala Mo Kaya).
Ang kwento ni Malou.
“Based sa kwento at usapan namin nina Direk Nuel Naval at MMK Prod staff, Norma, the mother, my character, has an undetermined mental disability. Siguro tipong undiagnosed mild autism. Siguro hindi na napa-check up.
“Lumaki at nagkapamilya ng may learning disability yet was able to function “normally.”
Then namatay ang asawa. Sumunod nawala sya. Pagbalik buntis. Nabuntis ng tricycle driver. Yung ipinanganak, dahil sakitin, natakot na mamatay, ipinaampon.
“Sumunod, ipinasama sa kamag-anak para raw mapag-aral. Ending nervous breakdown ang binatilyong anak kasi inapi. Sinundan para hanapin. Pinasok na maid ng kaanak. Na-bully, nervous breakdown din sya.
“Nung nahanap sila ng anak (Adelinq, the letter-sender portrayed by Ana Capri) umuwi sila.
Asked her kamusta Nanay Norma nya. Huh?!? Meaning: gawi nya ng paalis-alis. Papunta-punta sa mga friendships. Nawawala. Bumabalik o naghahaanap uli. Pero hindi sya nilulubayan ng anak.”
Ana Capri is Adelina.
“My take as Adelina is, na mahalaga ang bawat segundo ng buhay so dapat mahalin ang pamilya or love ones.”
MADAM BABY F. GO recently went to Kuching, Sarawak in Malaysia for possible business partnerships with the friends she has made when she went to the AIFFA (Asian International Film Festival and Awards in 2016) where her two movies “Laut” and “Area” were nominated and Ana bagged the Best Actress Award.
AIFFA is slated to happen in April or May 2019 as per news from its Festival Director Livan Tajang.
Madam Baby was in Kuching, Sarawak to attend several business meetings.
And a surprise award awaits her when she and this writer were presented with a very special award given by KM Cheah Kenv Mun, General Manager of Plaza Merdeka- An Award or Token of appreciation for the effort of linking the bridge between Malaysia and the Philippines in the Film Industry and Retail Industry, conceptualized by the Merdeka Plaza Team with Sam Avenidi.
This psr.ph writer was the one who introduced Madam Baby to the people who were looking to do business with her in showbusiness among other things.
The symbol of the Pua Kumbu dates from the tribals of the different regions of Sarawak.
Among the most renowned and sought after textile are the cotton blankets called Pua Kumbu of the Iban tribe of Sarawak. The Iban tribe’s lifestyle and beliefs are intricately woven into their textiles. As in many societies, weaving was always the work of women and her status in the community can be revealed from the type of motifs weaved.
One thing is sure, one of BG Productions International Inc. movies as well as her sister productions Global International Film Production will be shot entirely in Sarawak. The very target of AIFFA in promoting its Tourism Indiustry.
Bigger and better projects are now being made under BG Productions. And with the roster of talents who have signed and placed their trust in Madam Baby, it is certain that more movies will be produced and seen on the big screen and International film festivals.
Madam Baby has been enchanted with Kuching, Sarawak’s beauty, cleanliness and friendliness of the people.
“It actually is my third time. The first is AIFFA and the two business meetings. Which hopefully would materialize anytime soon.”
The one responsible for the design of the Waterfront Hotel, Datin Anriza Cordero in Kuching has already adopted Madam Baby as a resident of the 5-star hotel. Which she embraced as her second home now. And Datu Steve Ng is looking foreward to a script suggested by one of his staff Justin Bersales – Project Coordinator of Plaza Merdeka Holdings Sdn. Bhd. to be submitted to BG.
Madam Baby’s all time favorite food is being served her anytime in Waterfront. The laksa she finds the best in this hotel.
