ANOTHER endorsement to boot! That was where we caught actor Ian Veneracion. Another launch.
Counting and more.
“I am blessed to be picked para mag-endorse sa kanila. Kaya when they present to me the offer, nalalaman din naman nila agad kung type ko dahil ginagamit ko and of course, I see to it din naman ‘yung image ng produkto.”
And Ian’s image levelled a notch higher when he became visible again and reached a status his peers would want to have as well.
“Am flattered when they tell me about my being a role model hind lang sa mga kabataan but to boys, men na ginagawa akong idol nila and peg. Lalo na when they tell me na I look younger than my real age. Marami nasubaybayan naman ako when I was a child star kaya sa iba, hindi na maitatago.”
How does he divide his time with his “A Love to Last” program, being a husband to Pam and a father to Draco (19), Dids (17) and Duccio (11)?
“These days, ayaw na nila ako kasama. Haha. Kasi, ‘pag may mga tao, naiingayan sila at naguguluhan. They know naman the nature of my job. Pero syempre, ‘pag hindi sanay, mahirap isama. ‘Pag may nagpapa-picture na sa malls, lumalayo na lang sila. Natutuwa naman. Pero alam mo ‘yun ‘pag ‘di nila gamay talaga. Hindi showbiz. Si Pam has always been supportive sa lahat ng panahon.
“I make bawi. Like last December, hindi naman pwede sumama ni Pam sa amin dahil siya naman ang may work. I took the kids to Iceland. Yes, they experienced the Northern Lights. When I have the time, gumagawa na talaga ako ng schedule to spend with them. Syempre ang bibilis na lumaki. And I don’t want din naman to miss seeing them grow up.
“And whenever magkakasama kami, we enjoy the times we bond kasi we share the same passion. In sports nagkakasundo kami. So, when we were in Iceland, ayun galcier climbing, rock climbing. My daughter is so into it.”
Who took a passion in painting like him?
“When Draco was younger. Si Dids din. Three years ago, I was so into it. I had my pen-man show. Lagi naman nandoon my passion for it. Hindi naman mawawala. Gusto ko pa rin. Kaya lang, in Painting, ibang utak ang ginagamit mo dun. Hindi pwedeng hindi ka mag-focus. Sa akin, that’s how it works.”
Does he follow a regimen like exercise and dieting?
“I don’t go to the gym. Sports lang ako. Basketball. Football. Tennis. Basta lahat ng may ball. So, running.”
His character in “ALT” Anton, has become every girl’s dream now. What else can we expect?
“With my character? There are more challeges he’s set to face-with the two women na naggi-girian na now sa palabas. As a husband, as a father and as an ex. Flattered all the time when I get that remark. Sana lagi akong maging role model.
“Concentrate lang muna ako with being Anton. Sa TV muna. Hindi ko kaya mag-pelikula na nagte-taping at the same time.”
Enjoying the status he has now?
“Wala namang nagbabago. I am exactly the same Ian you’ve met and known. Hindi ko naman nararamdaman ang diperensya. Whatever status ‘yan, am still the same man. It doesn’t get into my head. I don’t consider din being away from the limelight for a long while kasi lumalabas-labas naman ako every now and then sa mga show before sa different stations. Ito lang siguro ‘yung right time. And right place to be in!”
With the attitude Ian keeps, he sure is one actor who will last in his craft. A lot are looking forward to seeing him shine brighter on the big screen!
